Masters in Teaching English as a Second Language, Bachelor’s in English Literature, 12 Years Teaching Experience
I was born in Texas and grew up in Illinois. I graduated with my Masters Degree in Teaching ESL with the intent on experiencing a different culture. I started teaching in South Korea, but moved to China to experience a bigger country. China has been my home for the past 9 years and I have taught English to children and adults.
Teaching Philosophy: My passion is to create the environment for all students to grow and persevere. In the classroom, I seek to remove all obstacles to learning and provide students with multiple means of engagement, representation, expression, and action using using UDL Principles. I strive to provide content where students will acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions.
