LEARNING AT I-EP
Arts

In I-EP, we believe that having a strong Arts program benefits students in two main areas. By having an active art program; it allows students to express themselves through different mediums. An active art program also allows students to become global citizens by understanding how arts can represent cultures. Additionally, studies show that students who participate in the arts achieve more in other in subject disciplines. For these reasons, we try to promote the arts within I-EP.

Students have regular music, drama, and art classes. These classes are fully integrated into the UOI. This means that while students are learning specific curriculum points for their subject (e.g., primary colours in art, crochets, and quavers in music) the context for the learning is still within the unit of inquiry. This allows for transdisciplinary learning and allows the students to make connections across disciplines.
